Plate Heat Exchanger Working Principle
Plate heat exchangers working principle is to provide heat transfer between two liquids.
The liquid to be heated or the heating, are totally seperated from each other with plates. In standart plate heat exchangers, there are 4 inlet-outlet ports. Two of them are for heating liquid and two of them for heated liquid. With special production, it is possible to produce heat exchangers which have more than one heating or heated liquids.
In MIT Plate Heat Exchangers, the flow is always diagonal. When the hot liquid enters from top and leaves from bottom, the cold liquid enters from bottom and leaves from top. Efficiency reaches maximum level.
In MIT Plate Heat Exchangers, with the straight flow, cold leaving temperature can not exceed hot leaving temperature. On the other hand, it can be possible with the diagonal flow.
